The Athlete: Ashley Facio #3

Home Runs to Human Resources
After many years of playing sports, Facio hung up her cleats during college and found herself with no relevant work experience after graduation. She joined Human Resources for a Fortune 100 company to learn how organizations develop strategic initiatives around recruiting and retaining talent in hopes of helping her fellow athletes transition out of their sport. This opportunity grew into a diverse career in recruitment, training & onboarding, compensation, and operations teams. She has also helped develop new lines of business through system integrations and organizational development to support business growth.
Sacrifice Bunt
Facio’s approach to leadership and life focuses on the needs of the team and the organization. Simply put, a sacrifice bunt is when a baseball or softball batter sacrifices him/herself to advance another team member for the betterment of the team. When a team is provided clear expectations and a common goal, the team can succeed. This is not only true for sports but is also true for organizations. Facio’s teamwork approach has proven success in for-profit and non-profit organizations.
Organizations, Teams & Individuals
Facio founded League3Logic to provide organizations and teams with a strategic business solutions partner for organizational development and process improvement initiatives.
Facio also founded PayPro League to provide individuals with a career growth platform for job seekers and employees from the time they join the workforce through retirement.
In the Community
Facio serves on the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma City Human Resources Society as the Vice President of Membership and co-founded the Emerging Professionals group, which provides individuals with skills to develop their careers. She also joined the Cleats4Kids young professionals board after hosting a local drive upon completing her Masters degree.
